Investigating the roles of exercise and diet in the prevention of chronic lifestyle-related diseases

The focus of the research undertaken in the Exercise & Nutrition Research Program includes 1) the interaction of exercise and diet on skeletal muscle metabolism, 2) the molecular bases of exercise training adaptation, 3) the cellular bases underlying exercise-induced improvements in insulin action and 4) primary interventions to combat sarcopenia in ageing Australians.
