Professor Scuffham is an expert in health economics. He is the Director of the Centre for Applied Health Economics in the School of Medicine at Griffith University and is the Director of the Population and Social Health Research program in the Griffith Health Institute. Professor Scuffham is also the President of the Australian Chapter of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).

Professor Scuffham’s research efforts focus on several areas, including estimating the value for money from cardiac interventions across the disease continuum, measuring quality of life with multi-attribute utility instruments and eliciting preferences for health care, including the measurement and valuation of health states.
