Cutting-edge concussion research

One of the major research challenges currently affecting sporting professional teams throughout Australia and the world is concussion amongst players. Unfortunately this is also proving to be the case with school and college teams across the sporting codes. The Centre for Musculoskeletal Research based at ACU’s Southbank facility in Brisbane is conducting leading edge research into injury surveillance and concussion across the Associated Independent Colleges rugby competition.  They are also working with the Great Public Schools’ Association of Queensland (including our partner school at Nudgee College, pictured above) establishing baseline and post-concussion data sets.
